German-Jordanian Photo Competition organised by the DJG
The German-Jordanian Society (DJG) is organising an international photo competition as part of its annual theme ‘Water’, thereby shining a spotlight on one of the key challenges of our time.
Water is the basis of all life – and at the same time an element that, through scarcity or extreme conditions, has a significant impact on habitats, infrastructure and future prospects. Water must be highlighted as a matter of existential importance in both Jordan and Germany.
In both Germany and Jordan, the vital importance of water is evident in various ways. The competition invites participants to highlight these perspectives within a cross-cultural context and to emphasise the similarities and differences in experiences, solutions and perceptions from both Jordanian and German viewpoints.
With this photography competition, the DJG aims to bring a socially relevant topic to the fore, strengthen dialogue among members and other interested parties regarding relations between Jordan and Germany, and simultaneously create a cross-border platform for creative engagement with issues relating to the environment, everyday life and the future.
The competition is open to all interested parties.
