Alumni Ambassador Programme
The Alumni Ambassador Programme (AAP) for GJU alumni living in Germany is supervised by the project office at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. It was founded on the initiative of the GJU Project Office in December 2017 by postgraduate or doctoral students in Germany and former GJU students firmly integrated into the labour market. The GJU alumni network in Germany currently consists of around 250 contacts.
The AAP promotes an active network between former students of the German-Jordanian University (GJU) who live in Germany. The aim is to strengthen exchange and cooperation both among themselves and with GJU and its German partner institutions.
GJU Mentorship Programme
Grow together – learn from each other – strengthen networks 🤝
The GJU Mentorship Programme brings GJU Alumni in Germany together to learn from each other, share experiences and support each other in their professional development. The aim is to promote the exchange of knowledge, personal and professional development and the development of sustainable connections within the network.
The programme was launched at the GJU Alumni Ambassador Meeting in Bochum in September 2025 and will initially run until September 2026. The initiative was launched by GJU Alumni e.V. in cooperation with Alumni Ambassador Programme launched by the GJU Project Office.

How alumni can get involved
The commitment of alumni is reflected in a variety of activities: They represent GJU and Jordan at events, promote intercultural exchange and support each other in Germany. Regular offerings include two alumni talks per year and a major annual meeting of GJU alumni living in Germany.
The program is a unique platform for strengthening connections, deepening cooperation and actively shaping the alumni community in Germany.

During the annual meeting in Hamburg in 2023, the GJU alumni decided to found an independent non-profit association (e.V.) in Germany. The first draft articles of association were submitted by the end of 2023. The non-profit association should be set up as follows: three GJU alumni associations in the north (location: Hamburg), in the south (location: Munich) and in the center (location: Gießen) of Germany, which operate under an umbrella organization.
Since 2024, GJU Alumni e.V. has been a registered association in Hamburg.
The Munich and Gießen locations will follow.
